“We firmly believe that military solution to Sudan’s internal conflict is not a viable option.” Sudan government and opposition groups sign peace accord.

On August 31, 2020, the Sudanese government and leaders of the Sudan Revolutionary Front (SRF), an alliance of the nation’s opposition groups from Darfur and the southern states of Blue Nile and South Kordofan, agreed to a peace deal designed to end a 17-year internal dispute. The agreement addresses matters including security, political representation, economic and land rights and also includes the opportunity for displaced persons to return home. Sudan’s Prime Minister, His Excellency Dr. Abdalla Hamdok, a Shining World Leadership Award for Good Governance laureate, said, “We were able to accomplish this great work, and this is the start of peace-building.” Dr. Gibril Ibrahim, leader of the Justice and Equality Movement, one of the signing groups, stated, “I congratulate all in Sudan on reaching a historic comprehensive peace that addressed the roots of the problem and ended the war....” Taking place in Juba, the capital of mediating neighbor country South Sudan, the formal ceremony saw participating parties applauding and raising their hands in celebration and gestures of peace. Congratulations, Sudan, on this momentous peace agreement. Our gratitude, Sudan government and SRF leaders, as well as South Sudan for hosting and supporting this significant accord. Heaven bless you all abundantly. May Sudan and her peace-loving people prosper as you herald an era of unity and joy, in Divine upliftment.

Japan provides food aid to vulnerable Namibians.

Japan, a Shining World Leadership Awards for Compassion, Animal Protection and Generosity laureate, contributed US$700,000 to the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) towards food assistance for around 30,000 individuals in the drought-affected Kavango East and Kavango West regions of Namibia. The funds allowed WFP to purchase 914 metric tons of food, including fortified maize, pulses, vegetable oil and salt. To honor Japan for their life-supporting contribution, Namibian Prime Minister, Her Excellency Saara Kuugongelwa-Amadhila, officiated a ceremony that was held at Her Excellency’s office in the capital city of Windhoek. Our heartfelt appreciation, Japan, for your care and generosity. Many thanks, also, World Food Programme, for your work to help global citizens. May the fine people of Namibia be well and content in the kind blessings of Heaven.

Climate change responsible for extreme weather in Siberia.

In a new study, organized by the World Weather Attribution – an international initiative for climate change research – scientists revealed that a recent prolonged period of warmer than usual weather in Siberia, was made 600 times more likely to occur due to human-induced climate change. Additionally, the Russian town of Verkhoyansk in Siberia experienced a sudden rise to 38 degrees Celsius on June 20, 2020, leading to wildfires and melting permafrost. The researchers warned that humans need to quickly reduce emissions to avoid such events from becoming even more commonplace. Thank you, scientists, for your timely warning and confirmation of our alarming effect on the pristine Siberian lands and the planet. In Divine guidance, may we see a faster response from all citizens, governments and corporations to reduce emissions and save our planet.

Up next, Australian scientists discover human hair and dog fur as natural materials for absorbing oil spills. We give thanks to the paleontologists, who study the Earth’s fascinating history through fossils and other traces of ancient life. When we return, more beneficial news, here on Supreme Master Television!

Hallo Earth-loving friends, it’s Lazaro the vegan Long-wattled Umbrellabird. Do you want to be beautiful inside out? Be vegan and your beauty will radiate!

We’re happy to share a tip from Beloved Supreme Master Ching Hai: “If your computer gets too heated while working, please help it cool down by elevating it with some ‘legs’ underneath. Even a machine ##needs TLC (tender loving care) to last longer and to function better. Also, it helps if your computer is turned off when not in use. God loves you kids!” Thank you very much, Supreme Master Ching Hai, for this useful and easy-to-do suggestion. We love You! Thank you all for tuning in. Love you for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet for all humans and us all co-inhabitants. And now, the worldwide weather.

Dog fur and human hair effective as sustainable cleaning materials for oil spills.

Researchers from the University of Technology Sydney in Australia, found that recycled dog fur and human hair are highly useful in cleaning crude oil spills on hard land surfaces, such as sealed concrete floors, highway roads, and pavements. The hair, collected from salon waste, and fur, recycled from groomers, were found to be better at absorbing and removing dangerous contaminants on land, than their commercially available counterparts of peat moss and synthetic fibers. This natural material demonstrates that sustainable and biodegradable options can be developed, and even at a lower cost. Our sincere accolades, University of Technology Sydney researchers. Wishing you success in further environment- protecting discoveries and praying that our Earth’s health is restored, in Celestial splendor.

Doctors utilize new methods to encourage vaccinations among children.

Due to lockdowns and social distancing amid the COVID-19 pandemic, there has been a significant decrease in the number of people bringing their kids to the doctor for their regular vaccinations. In response, pediatricians around the United States, such as those at Boston Medical Center, which saw a 90% reduction of children’s vaccinations, are implementing “Plan B.” This new program involves nurses calling parents and making appointments to conveniently provide the vaccines inside an ambulance, while on the driveways of their patients’ homes. Some regions have also set up drive-through vaccines, as well as providing them in local pharmacies. Thank you, Boston Medical Center and others, who are striving to keep children protected in this difficult time. May all our precious little ones be safe in God’s grace.

Indian college students offer free online education to less privileged during COVID-19 lockdown.

Through the “Teach From Home” initiative led by the World Youth Council, an Indian non-profit dedicated to empowering young people, roughly 3,000 students from Delhi University and other post-secondary institutions in India are providing free online teaching to 2,500 less privileged students. Using online platforms, such as WhatsApp or YouTube, individuals teach one to four students at a time, for at least three days a week. One volunteer, Diya Padhi, a student of Dyal Singh College, said, “Being part of this initiative has also improved my communication skills, and made me realize that it’s our responsibility to work for the betterment of the society.” Such a wonderful initiative! We are grateful, World Youth Council, and all Teach From Home volunteers. In the light of the Providence, may the bright youngsters of India enjoy their studies and develop their full potential.

Coming up, vegan meat-infused pasta sauce launched in United States. We are going to take some time to appreciate the beautiful art of batik, a garment dyeing technique from Java, Indonesia, and a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. You’re watching Noteworthy News on Supreme Master Television. Welcome back to Noteworthy News – Loving News for a Friendly World.

Popular pasta sauce brand introduces its premier vegan meat sauce.

Prego pasta sauces, a brand that’s part of Campbell Soup Company from the United States, has released their new vegan meat sauce – the first offering in a new range called Prego+ Plant Protein. It contains their classic tomato sauce as a base, mixed with soy crumbles, while providing four grams of protein per serving. The company also has other tomato-based vegan sauces available, such as white bean and roasted garlic, mushroom, chickpea and kale, and garden vegetable. Great news, Prego, on the release of your first vegan meat sauce – it sounds delicious. In Divine joy, may such products of delectable plant-based goodness soon become best sellers among the friendly people of the United States and beyond. Kind-hearted couple addresses canine homelessness on Greek island. Through the “Zero Stray Pawject” initiative, Aegina is poised to be the first Greek island with zero homeless dogs by 2021. Launched in 2016 by United States-based business professionals, Theo Moumtzidis and Silja Schiller-Moumtzidis, the volunteer-run non-profit program partners with the municipality, local police, veterinarians, and others to find a solution to stray dogs. Their initiative currently prioritizes identity microchipping of dogs, having microchipped approximately half of the island’s dog population to date. Furthermore, they conduct neutering campaigns and responsible animal caregiving classes. Speaking of future goals, Mr. Moumtzidis explained, “We are trying to find a model that could work as a public policy in most countries.” Our deep gratitude, visionaries Theo Moumtzidis and Silja Schiller-Moumtzidis, and all the caring collaborators of the Zero Stray Pawject. May we work together to be good guardians of our innocent and defenseless animal friends, in Heaven’s unconditional love.

Laughter is a good mood booster, so we've selected a joke for you. It’s entitled “Grey Hair.”

“What do you have for greying hair?”

“Nothing but the highest respect, Madam.”

And now we have a heartline from Hoa Sen in Âu Lạc, also known as Vietnam:

Dear Master, I have become the person I am today because of You. I am so grateful to You, Master, that no worldly language can truly express it. I would like to wish Master great health, boundless happiness, peace, and prosperity, so that You will continue to guide humanity in every minute, every second to overcome all obstructions, and enter a new Golden Era of glory and beauty. She also gifts it unconditionally to other planets in the Universe, without thinking of getting anything in return. They silently, throughout days and nights, humbly send blessings from the Ocean of Love where Peace reigns, to all of us.
