The greatest challenge for an organic farmer is always the climate. We live here in a cold temperate climate. But has changed a lot in the last 20 years and it comes again and again to bigger dry periods and then to strong rain again. It’s not as it was 20 years ago. You have to cope with it. You have to make sure that you select your plants correctly and choose what you grow correctly. The second big challenge is of course that we have no plant growth in winter. But the customers also want to be supplied in winter. This means that you always have to make sure you have good storage facilities and a sufficient variety even in winter.
