It is possible. Not necessarily that person, but it’s always possible with the disciples. Sometimes the people can see the spiritual Master’s presence in their house without the Master being there, without the true physical presence of the Master. And that’s why the Master can always help the disciples – it doesn’t matter where they are – without having to run around in a physical body. Even if they don’t see, the Master is always there. And sometimes people don’t see, but they can feel. If they normally don’t see, sometimes during an emergency accident, the Master will be present to help them, and at that time they can see also. Mostly in emergency times. In Khon Kaen, many children claimed to see me coming outside and giving them booklets and things, but I had never been there yet. I was still in Bangkok. [It] means the stranger children are not initiated. They have not seen me before.
There’s nothing impossible in spiritual Power. But this is not magical power. I don’t have to stay there, cross my legs and do some mudras or recite some mantras in order to transport myself to your house. It just happens naturally. That is due to the Grace of the Master Power. When I say Master, I mean the Highest God, the Buddha. I don’t mean this physical Ching Hai.
I’m not proud of myself. I hope you understand I say “the Master” in the third person. I’m just a very… This physical body [is] just a very humble instrument. So I never let the disciples bow to this physical body or make any nonsensical offering, prostration and things like that. And that’s why I don’t receive any donations or have any services done [for me], because of my teaching. It’s all free. Free now, free in-between, free after. I can earn money myself, take care of my own body, and buy tickets to come see you now and again. So I don’t need anything from you. Whatever you get is from the Buddha. I don’t need to take any salary for it.
(Those who are horticulturists have to fight insects that bother their plants. How can they avoid this?) (The ones who practice or who have a profession of doing agriculture, they have to fight against several insects that bother the plants. How to avoid this?) How to avoid… (How do we avoid this?) the insects? (To fight against the insects.)
If you want to avoid it, then you have to avoid your profession. But then everybody will go hungry. That’s no good. It’s your job; you continue. Whatever little karma you have, I share also, because I eat your rice! But if you practice meditation in the Quan Yin Method, the karma will be erased. Otherwise, even breathing, washing hands, walking on the street: all sins, all killing insects.
The thing is, the non-killing means we don’t deliberately do it because of our bad nature, because we enjoy the suffering. It’s just that we cannot avoid it. So we don’t need to be a fanatic. Otherwise, after enlightenment, maybe the Buddha would have also been afraid and have had to sit under the Bodhi tree all the time because He dared not walk, He dared not breathe, He dared not eat anything, then He would have died. And then we’d have no Buddhism today. OK? (OK.) (Do you understand?)

He just wants to tell this.) You should not tell your spiritual experiences. The same with the housemate before. Keep quiet.
Don’t boast about your spiritual level except when really necessary. For example, like when the Master lets you tell, then you can tell. Otherwise, you lose it. And next time he will write and report to me, “How come, Master, [You] don’t come anymore?” Enjoy and be quiet. Spiritual experiences are many. Whatever we have is never enough. Otherwise, if Buddhahood has an end, then it’s like a house – also like a prison. Then it’s no freedom. Like you reach the top and stop there – the roof. There’s a roof.
OK. (That’s all.) No more? I’m liberated! Oh, fine. I thank all the disciples and good people who have helped in arranging the lecture. I thank also the foreign ministry who arranged many policemen for me in different places to fight the traffic. I thank also the policemen, who wear tight belts and heavy helmets, for protecting me on the road. And I thank all of you for [your] loving attention. Thank you. If I don’t see you again, take care of yourself. And pray to Buddha, God, to help you to find liberation in time. Those who decided to find it today, I’m honored to serve you. All my best wishes.
