“Thousands of climate activists will come together on Earth Day to march, rally, protest, and do outreach to demand a global transition to a plant-based food system. Time is running out, and we must come together to demand the global shift before it is too late.” The attendees at the New York Vegan Earth Day March had many wise words to share on this subject. “I’ve been vegan for about 9 years and I went vegan because of the animals and the Earth. And I felt hypocritical because I used to say I love animals and then I ate them and it just didn’t feel right. Yes, I just love the Earth and the animals so much. What I do impacts not just me, it impacts the world as a whole. Because life is not just about us. It’s about everyone.”

In Zambia and Greece, committed individuals held signs to let people know about the perils of raising animal-people for food. In picturesque Zurich, Switzerland, rally attendees also educated the public and the media about the vegan solution while similar actions took place in Berlin, Germany. In Tbilisi, Georgia, dedicated activists took to the streets to demonstrate. They gained the attention of many on-lookers and the media, and the Khorumi was stoically performed. Demonstrators in Lima, Peru had some engaging conversations. The demonstrators in Mexico City, Mexico, celebrated the first Vegan Earth Day March by sharing important messages about the urgent need to stop climate change.

Yonatane Laïk, a representative of the organization Israel Climate Save told reporters in 2023, “We always denounce polluting energies, cars or planes, yet the meat, milk or egg industries participate in such a dramatic way in global warming.” In Taipei, Taiwan , also known as Formosa, onlookers were dazzled by marchers wearing fun and colorful costumes as they paraded down the streets with attention-grabbing signs. “Love is not a word on our lips, love must be our feeling inside, and action translated outside. Love the animals, we’ll be veg (vegan), Love the Earth, we’ll go green. Love the world, save the planet.”
