In today’s news, European Union supplies emergency humanitarian aid to Democratic Republic of the Congo via Air Bridge flights, scientists in United States shed new light on Earth’s atmosphere’s ability to self-clean, underwater bicycle parking facilities open in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, global statistics show world entering new era of renewable energy production, senior British gentleman donates rare blood type to save child’s life in Hong Kong and others elsewhere, new gourmet vegan mac and cheese product now available nationwide in United States, and India’s tiger-person population surpasses 3,000 individuals.

I would like to share a parenting tip today. When speaking to upset children, avoid saying certain phrases such as “stop crying” or “don’t cry.” These phrases may send a message to your young ones to repress their feelings and it’s especially important for children to express their feelings. Crying is a natural and healthy way to do this. Also avoid scolding-like phrases like “don’t be a cry-baby,” which may make them feel ashamed or that their feelings are not valid or important. It’s better to recognize and accept their emotions as a natural part of growing up. When parents empathize with their children and tell them they understand how they feel, it makes the situation much easier to get through. Be supportive of your children and reassure them with phrases such as, “I can see that you’re upset right now and that’s Ok,” “I’m here for you” and “let’s get through this together.” This approach will help validate their feelings, allow them to calm down a little and then you can ask if they want to discuss how they feel. Be patient, it’s tough for today’s young ones in a harsh world, but have faith, the Heavens are helping us change and grow in love and compassion.

Let’s turn on that laughter flashlight and focus it on the joke of the day. It’s called “Gray Hair.”

Little Sandy asked her mother:

“Mom, why do some people have gray hair and some people have black hair?”

“Older people usually have gray hair.”

Little Sandy asked again:

“What does older mean, Mommy?”

“Whoever is born earlier is the older one.”

Little Sandy then asked curiously:

“Well, if my birthday is before Grandma's birthday, why is her hair all gray?”

!?

And now we have a heartline from Woon Fong in Singapore
