Soapberries from the Sapindus genus give rise to saponin-rich skins that are ideal for making liquid soap. All you have to do is boil, strain, and preserve it with vinegar. Horse Chestnut conkers can also be boiled to make laundry soap. These soaps are all safe for cleaning but should not be directly ingested. These special plants are perfect for making natural household soap while adding beauty to your garden.
