In today’s news, United States furnishes urgent humanitarian and economic assistance to Mauritania, researchers in Germany find certain ancient civilizations may have collapsed due to infectious diseases, company in Australia manufactures cling wrap from potato waste, smart glasses in United Kingdom to help simplify tasks for nurses, charity brings much-needed supplies to residents in war-torn city of Ukraine, Japanese food-tech company creates vegan egg using konjac powder, and missing dog-person reunited with caregivers after rescue from sinkhole.

In the Supreme Master Ching Hai International Association Relief News from India…

United States provides urgent relief to Mauritania.

The United States government is furnishing US$11 million in assistance to Mauritania through the US Agency for International Development (USAID). Drought and the Russian invasion of Ukraine have exacerbated the situation in the northwest African nation, with almost 680,000 citizens facing a severe food crisis. Mauritania also hosts 87,000 refugees who are mostly from Mali. From the total funding, US$6 million will be used for emergency food assistance to approximately 150,000 people and cash assistance to refugees residing in the Mbera camp, while US$5 million will be used to strengthen social protection programs as well as to boost youth employment and job skill development. The United States is a key humanitarian donor to Mauritania and this new contribution will make its total donations in fiscal year 2022 US$19 million. The United States is a recipient of five Shining World Leadership Awards for Compassion, three Shining World Leadership Awards for Good Governance, seven Shining World Leadership Awards for Promoting Healthy Living, and Shining World Leadership Awards for Good Governor, Justice, Protection, and Environmental Protection; and a laureate of 24 Shining World Leadership Awards for Compassion, three Shining World Leadership Awards for Protection, two Shining World Leadership Awards for Loving Care, a Shining World Leadership Award for Good Governance, a Shining World Peace Leader Award, Shining World Caring Leadership Award, and Shining World Super Loving Care Leadership Award. Our heartfelt gratitude, United States, for your generous care for the soulful people of Mauritania. We pray for the situation to quickly improve in the nation, in Allah’s uplifting Grace.

German researchers find pathogens may have caused fall of ancient civilizations.

A team of scientists led by archaeogeneticist Gunnar Neumann of the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology in Germany recently discovered traces of bacteria that cause typhoid fever and a type of plague in the bones of people who lived in Crete, Greece, over 4,000 years ago during the Bronze Age. Although researchers usually attribute the fall of several Near East and Eastern Mediterranean civilizations during the period to climate change or other factors, infectious disease is now being considered a major possible contributor. The bones that were analyzed were found in a pit that remained at a cool and stable temperature, thus allowing the DNA to remain intact for so long. Our appreciation, Gunnar Neumann and team, for your research into the cause of the decline of these Bronze Age ancient civilizations. In Divine resplendence, may humans protect each other, and all inhabitants of the planet, by switching to vegan food and ensuing the peaceful cooperation between all nations. “Ah, don’t have 2 b vegan, don’t have 2 make peace: just go 2 a plastic surgeon + change ur face so the devils won’t recognize u. Then u can escape hellfire. Haha.”

Up next, company in Australia manufactures cling wrap from potato waste. We’ll just thank the radio frequency technicians who install, upgrade and repair communication devices and components such as two-way radios, transmitters, receivers, amplifiers, cell phone antennas and satellite systems.

Hi, kind viewers, it’s Francine, a vegan lady from the Frizzle Chicken kingdom! When everyone sows the seeds of benevolence by choosing the compassionate plant-based path, the kindness in our world just spreads everywhere and multiplies. And this is what I pray for every day! Here is a way you can be more energy efficient. If you live in a hot climate, optimally, insulation should be installed on the exterior surface of your home’s walls if they are thin. If not, you can paint the walls that receive direct sunlight a light color so they can be more reflective as an immediate solution to keeping your house cooler. Thank you for watching and love you for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet for all humans and us all co-inhabitants alike. Now, the weather from around the world.

Australian company creates cling wrap from potato waste.

Australian packaging and containers manufacturing enterprise Great Wrap, has been producing an affordable compostable cling wrap made from potato waste to help reduce our reliance on fossil fuels and also protect the environment. The product breaks down in 180 days in a compost pile, and the firm is currently expanding. It will also launch in the United States and could potentially save 300,000 metric tons of potato waste from going to landfill next year. What a terrific idea, Great Wrap, to create a useful and Earth-friendly product from food waste. May more companies soon shift to producing circular goods, as we cherish and savor our precious resources, in Celestial inspiration.

Hi-tech glasses to help UK nurses spend more time with patients.

Under a trial run by Northern Lincolnshire and Goole National Health Service (NHS) Foundation Trust in Britain, nurses will be wearing tech-enabled glasses that will allow them to record and transcribe a patient visit and scan wounds using thermal imaging to assess healing progress. The smart glasses’ software, called A.Consult, was developed by health technology company Concept Health and incorporates a voice command recognition feature that operates like Amazon’s Alexa smart speaker system. The glasses can also share live footage of a patient visit with other staff for a second opinion. NHS England, which is funding the project, explains that the purpose is to help lessen administrative work and allow nurses to dedicate more time to patient care. Thank you, Concept Health, NHS England and everyone involved, for employing this innovative technology to assist healthcare staff. In Heaven’s guidance, may the patients enjoy better health outcomes and wellness through the implementation of this useful tool.

Charity brings essential items to civilians in conflict-ridden city of Ukraine.

Since May 2022, the nonprofit Source of Revival of Ukraine Charitable Foundation (SRUA), a partner of the United Nations agency the International Organization for Migration (IOM), has been bringing humanitarian supplies to civilians in Kharkiv who are staying in the city’s shelters and hospitals and other areas. To date, SRUA volunteers, risking their own safety, have provided over 16,000 solar lamps, 7,000 blankets, 3,000 hygiene kits, 5,000 mattresses, 18,000 towels and 10,000 jerry cans, as well as furnished physical and psychosocial rehabilitation services to the conflict victims. The charity has also brought food and medical items for the residents’ beloved cat- and dog- companions. Our earnest gratefulness, SRUA and all volunteers involved. As we pray for peace to soon prevail in Ukraine, may we always help one another in times of need, in God’s loving Embrace. Vegan: do we have a choice?

Coming up, Japanese food-tech company creates vegan egg using konjac powder. We’ll just step outside for a moment to get some fresh air to reinvigorate ourselves.

Food technology firm in Japan makes vegan egg out of konjac plants.

Umami United, a Japanese plant-based food manufacturing company, recently announced the release of an egg alternative made out of konjac and other ingredients that also incorporates a special flavor-enhancing enzyme technology. While anticipating the bulk of its sales being in the foodservice industry, Umami United also plans to launch its plant-based eggs in supermarkets. The vegan egg creators recommend its delectable item for many applications, including the Unami Plant-based Sushi roll. The enterprise says its vegan products are quickly gaining traction in the consumer market thanks to the Japanese people’s growing concern about sustainability and health. Vegan food development has been rising in Japan since 2020, with the country’s vegan alternative meat market led by companies like Next Meats Co. Congratulations on your new offering, Umami United. In Celestial grandeur, may humans always choose compassion to benefit all creation.

Missing dog-person rescued from sinkhole.

Chewy, a beloved dog companion to Angela and Bruce McCormick from Kentucky, USA, didn’t return home one day after his usual solitary run. After two weeks, Chewy was found 9 meters below ground when a neighbor was trying to fill a sinkhole. The Horse Cave Fire Department was quickly called to save Chewy. After a lengthy and challenging rescue, the brave dog-person was brought up and taken to the vet. He is now recovering at home and doing well. Bruce McCormick happily shared, “That’s the other miracle; I think we counted over 30 people that showed up to help. God was watching over our dog and us.” Congratulations, lovely Chewy. We hope you will be completely well soon and continue your happy life with your human parents. Many thanks, Horse Cave Fire Department rescuers, for saving a precious dog-person. In the infinite grace of the Providence, may humans always appreciate the divine presence of our loving co-inhabitants.

With the joke of the day as our laughter pilot, let’s get ready for takeoff. This one’s called “Late Anniversary Gift.”

Adam forgot his wedding anniversary. His wife got angry with him and told him:

“OK. Then, tomorrow morning, I expect to find a gift in the driveway that goes from 0 to 80 in a second and it better be there!”

The next morning, when his wife woke up, she looked out the window to find a box gift, wrapped in the middle of the driveway. She went outside and opened it. It was a brand new bathroom scale.

?!!

And now we have a heartline from Ci-Fang in China:

Hallo, Most Beloved Master, Since 2020, when the COVID-19 pandemic broke out, the medical workers in our city have been fighting it on the frontline. A group of Buddhist volunteers, together with our fellow initiates, organized themselves to start supplying vegan lunch boxes to the medical workers. For nearly two years, more than 1,000 vegan meals per day were delivered to medical staff, sanitation workers, and other people in need.

From the daily heavy and repetitive work, I’ve tasted joy and found the God quality in the non-initiates. They have aspired to make vegan food after seeing a bunch of Buddhist followers drop their original beliefs and quit the vegan diet due to various reasons. They felt sorry for them and thus were determined to serve vegan food for the convenience of the public.

About the work to make vegan food, they were very serious and dedicated, and treated living beings compassionately and lovingly. Their only thought was how to make vegan meals delicious, so people would be happy eating them! Especially when serving meals to the public selflessly, they would pray sincerely: “Let all people become vegan and give rise to the Bodhi mind!” It touched me very much. What a group of saints! I learned from their example, and thank them for helping me grow!

Last May, my mother passed away. Recalling the way she practiced spiritually, she was a good example for me, my sister, and my child. Even my father (a non-initiate) also sighed emotionally and said, “I feel that I’ve been uplifted. Your mom was a saint!”

Thank you, mom, for your love and for being a good example for us! We love you, mom! To love you is to do God’s work with you! I also want to become a good example for my daughter and keep trying!

Seeing that my daughter has returned to the spiritual quest within, both of us are so very grateful to Master. Thank You, for Your compassionate Love, for Your perfect arrangement, and for Your loving care for all beings! How fortunate we are to have met and followed the greatest Supreme Lord of the Universe! Thank God! Thank You for leading us to work together! World Vegan must be realized! World Peace is coming!

I sincerely pray for Master’s safety and good health, with no more torment and suffering, only joy and happiness! May all Your beautiful wishes come true! I found myself unconsciously singing, “The stream is flowing and flowing. Flowing and bringing me back to my Hometown.…” Love You forever, my most Beloved Master. Hug, Hug! ❤️ Ci-Fang from China

Optimistic Ci-Fang, We enjoyed reading your account of bringing vegan meals to others.

Master has this joyous reply for you: “Gracious Ci-Fang, as we give with an unconditional open heart, we receive so much more in return, and this Universal truth is delightfully evident in your experiences. I see, too, that one good soul touches many, so well done. Much Love to you, your loved ones, and the esteemed faithful community. It is great to see you all working together and elevating each other. May Heaven forever keep you and aspiring China on the noble path.”

Vegan: let’s prove that we r morally upright.
