In today’s news, Japan donates US$66 million to World Food Programme for emergency food aid, Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change report calls for more consumption of plant-based foods, scientists propose way to power spacecraft to reach Mars in 45 days, UK invests in housing for homeless, young amputee receives 3D-printed hand in Australia, vegan salmon launches in Netherlands, and dog-person employee brightens patients’ stay at United States children’s hospital.

Japan provides food aid to vulnerable people in 26 countries.

The government of Japan has donated US$66 million to the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) for emergency food aid and other assistance to at-risk populations across Asia, the Middle East and Africa affected by poverty, conflict, COVID-19 and climate change. The aid includes US$10 million to Afghanistan, US$4.6 million to Myanmar, US$6.4 million to Iraq, US$ 4.6 million to Yemen, and US$5.6 million to Sub-Saharan Africa to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. Director of WFP Japan Relations Office Naoe Yakiya said, “The contribution by the Government of Japan will enable us to save and change the lives of millions of vulnerable and hungry people teetering on the edge.” Japan is a Shining World Leadership Awards for Compassion, Generosity, and Animal Protection laureate. Our tremendous gratitude, Japan and WFP, for continuing to support and care for those in great need. A brighter future awaits us all if we look after one another as we do ourselves, in the illuminating wisdom of the Divine.

Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) climate study urges more to embrace plant-centered diets.

At the launch of the second part of the IPCC Sixth Assessment Report, His Excellency António Guterres, Secretary-General of the United Nations, said that the study is “an atlas of human suffering and a damning indictment of failed climate leadership.” According to the over 3,000-page analysis, global warming will cause “dangerous and widespread disruptions” over the next 20 years, including ecosystem collapse, species extinction, lethal heatwaves and floods. To avoid climate catastrophe, it is crucial to limit global temperature rise to 1.5 degrees Celsius, which requires the world to reduce emissions by 45% by 2030 and reach net zero emissions by 2050. The assessment calls for accelerated mitigation actions, including a shift to renewable energy and healthier plant-rich diets, citing that a reduction in meat consumption could cut food-related greenhouse gas emissions by up to 70%, and free up several million square kilometers of land by 2050. The IPCC is a laureate of the Shining World Leadership for Lives-Saving-Hero Award. Many thanks, Your Excellency António Guterres and IPCC. To save all life on Earth, may world leaders urgently implement a universal vegan food system, in God’s Brilliance. “Those who serve are content. They meditate on the Truest of the True. They do not place their feet in sin, but do good deeds and live righteously in Dharma. They burn away the bonds of the world, and eat a simple diet of grain and water.” ~ Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji (Sikhism)

Up next, UK invests in housing for homeless. We are going to thank the virology professors who teach their students about the workings of viruses, including the way they interact with host cells and the diseases they cause. We’ll return with more comforting news after this message here on Supreme Master Television.

Hallo, beautiful friends! I’m Sadie, a vegan homemaker from the Southern Viscacha kingdom. I have found that the secret to a happy life is just to reach the compassion that you are within yourself and show it every day. The best starting point is the adoption of the benevolent vegan way. Today, I would like to offer a tip on indoor activities for children on rainy days! Balancing stunts are great as they are not only entertaining, but also allow you to get some physical activity in! Be sure to make room in your home for safe play. Start by having everyone stand facing each other toe-to-toe in pairs and holding hands. Next, each person gradually leans back while bending their knees as if they are sitting on a chair. See how long each one can last for! Mix it up and try a different position. In sets of two, sit on the floor with your backs facing each other and feet positioned flat on the ground. Then, lock your arms and try to stand up together by pushing against each other’s backs. These balancing activities will sure help you chase the rainy weather blues away! Thank you for tuning in. And love you for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet for all of us humans and all co-inhabitants alike. Now, the weather around our beautiful globe.

UK government program moves to end homelessness in England.

As part of the United Kingdom’s Rough Sleeping Accommodation Programme, £174 million is being allocated to provide more than 2,900 homes to unsheltered people, with refurbished apartments, renovated and new houses, converted schools and hotels to be made available. Specially trained support workers will also be assisting, to help people with mental health and substance abuse issues. The government’s goal is to end rough sleeping within the next three years with a total investment of more than £2 billion. The United Kingdom is a laureate of the Shining World Leadership for Caring Award, Shining World Wise Leadership Award, and Shining World Leadership Awards for Protection, Animal Protection and Kindness. Our admiration, United Kingdom, for your noble use of public funds to aid the most vulnerable within your society to get back on their feet. We pray that all people in the world will soon have adequate housing and shelter, to ensure their lives are lived in dignity and peace, in the tenderness of the Providence.

Just 45 days to travel to Mars a possibility.

In a research paper, engineers from McGill University, in Montreal, Canada, presented their development of a new technology that would allow a spaceship to reach the Red Planet in just six weeks. The exciting idea could have real application as both China and the USA have plans for a mission to Mars in or around 2030. NASA’s current predictions allow for 500 days of travel time. The McGill University engineers are proposing a laser-thermal propulsion system, whereby gigantic lasers fired from Earth would deliver power to photovoltaic arrays on a spacecraft, thereby generating electricity for acceleration. They even foresee that their innovation could open the door to rapid transport within the solar system. Bravo, McGill University engineers! You are offering solutions that could bring humans to exciting new frontiers, in Celestial inspiration.

Australian specialists team up to develop 3D-printed hand for young amputee.

Seven-year-old Lexi Briggs from Queensland lost part of her hand due to a lawn mower accident five years ago. As a traditional prosthesis would cost more than US$14,000, a local non-profit health service organization called Community Lifestyle Support (CLS) assisted Lexi and her mother in finding a cost-effective alternative. A team of CLS’s specialists, a technician, occupational therapist and designers, came together to create a personalized prosthetic hand for young Lexi using 3D-printing technology, costing only US$20 for materials. Lexi is delighted with her new hand, which has improved her ability to grip everyday objects and ride her bike. Such a wonderful collaboration! Our accolades, all involved at Community Life Support, for your uplifting work for others. May dear Lexi and those in similar situations always receive the loving assistance needed to gain independence and a better quality of life, in Heaven’s Care. B vegan, make peace, do good deeds: way of the gentleman.

Coming up, vegan salmon launches in Netherlands. We’ll pause for a moment to step outside and enjoy the fragrant smell of conifers and their soothing presence. Supreme Master Television will return in just a moment with more alleviating news. Welcome back to Noteworthy News – Conducive News for a Lovely World.

Vegan salmon fillets introduced in Netherlands.

Vivera, a Dutch plant-based food company that currently offers an abundance of vegan meat products, including chicken, steak, hot dogs and sausages, fish and various flavored hamburgers, has added a delicious salmon alternative to its menu. The tasty vegan salmon fillet is made from wheat protein and contains omega-3s and vitamin B12 and imitates the same nutritional profile as its animal-people-based counterpart. The vegan fish product will be sold in packs of two, at a price lower than that of conventional salmon fillets. The item is now available in various supermarket chains across the Netherlands, including Plus, Jumbo, Albert Heiijn and others. Fantastic news, Vivera, on offering a nutritious and mouth-watering vegan plant-based salmon to the public! We pray companies continue to ditch the production of animal-person products to help guide us into a Golden Age on this planet, in Divine magnificence.

Dog-person employee brings comfort to kids during time at hospital.

Brea, a 3-year-old person from the Labrador Retriever kingdom has provided a supportive and loving presence to youngsters during their stay at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida, USA, for the past year. Facility dog-persons are trained to help little ones to deal with challenging medical situations and procedures during a hospital stay and also provide support to their families and medical staff. Trained by the non-profit Canine Companions, Brea accompanies Child Life Specialist Leah Frohnerath as she makes her hospital rounds. The intelligent dog-person understands 40 commands to assist youngsters, and can also fetch items, pull toy wagons, and push drawers. Well done, Brea, for your impactful service and Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital for your excellent employee. May we soon realize and appreciate that all animal-people are helpers to humans, in God’s perfect Creation.

Now it’s time for a refreshing shower of guffaws with the joke of the day entitled “A Compliment.”

A woman was trying on new clothes at the department store, when she turned to her husband and said:

“Honey, I think I look fat in this. Can you give me a compliment?”

“Sure, you have perfect eyesight, sweetie.”

?!

And now we have a heartline from Qing-Jing in China:

Beloved Supreme Master Ching Hai and Supreme Master TV team, During the winter of 2020, two little cat-persons fell into the vent hole of a building in my community at different times due to the absence of protection structures. Hearing the heartrending cries of the cat-person, we were beside ourselves with anxiety. The vent was about eight or nine meters deep. The little cat-person seemed to have fallen on the steps of the well. Below that was just darkness. Without proper equipment or climbing experience, a rescue was impossible. Seeing the situation, we instinctually began to pray: “God Almighty, Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, please help the little cat-person.” Suddenly, an idea came into my mind to ask the firefighters for help. I called 119 and explained the life-threatening situation of the cat-person. To my surprise, the firefighters immediately agreed to our request. Soon, about 10 minutes later, a fire truck came with six firefighters, who leaped into action with tools and freed the cat-person in no time. Seeing the rescued cat-person, we were very touched. We were touched more by how the firefighters acted like it was a matter of course, like it was within their duty. We did not know how to express our gratitude to them except to thank them again and again. We bothered them twice to save the cat-people; they were not the least bit displeased. So, we decided to present them with a pennant to show our appreciation. They happily accepted! (To: Dahongmen Station, Public Security and Fire Department of Fengtai District Firefighters Rescued Cat-People, Spreading the Positive Energy of Compassion. December 2020)

Thank You, Master. Thanks for the Blessing Power that Supreme Master TV continuously promotes protecting all sentient beings. It is obvious that people’s level of consciousness and love has been greatly elevated. Witnessing the firefighters coming to a little cat-person’s rescue in a majestic fire truck was heart-touching! Thank You again, Master, and the Supreme Master TV team, for your ceaseless efforts! May humanity soon embrace the vegan lifestyle, care for all living beings, and realize World Peace.

As a side note, I would like to reassure Master that protection measures have been taken to prevent the little animal-people from falling down the vent hole accidentally again! Qing-Jing from China

Caring Qing-Jing, We are heartened to learn about the remarkable compassion and devotion that the noble firefighters displayed in saving the cat-people’s lives. What a relief it must have been for the cat-persons to be saved! We are so delighted that everything worked out well. May humans around the world soon widen their circle of compassion and bravery to protect all of the wonderful animal-people. May you and capable China bask in the Divine’s infinite Light, Supreme Master TV team

P.S. Master sends Her Love in the following reply: “My thanks to you, attentive Qing-Jing, for your quick actions that helped save the cat-persons. My appreciation to the firefighters as well, who constantly put their lives at risk for the well-being of others. They are truly the heroes of our time. May you and the heroic people of China be blessed forevermore, in the Divine’s magnificence.”
