In today’s news, Nigeria-based nonprofit group supports widows and widowers in need. Hungarian farmers begin efforts to reverse desertification, Australian scientist mother develops way to predict postpartum depression, South Korea ends bear-people exploitation, US Air Force man saves couple trapped in overturned car, German podiatrist develops vegan foot care products, and Peru reintroduces yellow-spotted river turtle-people into Amazon River.

Here’s a useful home management tip. Routine cleaning of your clothes dryer machine helps maintain and keep it running safely and smoothly. It is recommended you unplug the dryer, wash the heat exchanger, clean the lint filter, drum, seals, and moisture sensors, in addition to emptying and washing the water tank every 3–6 months. If you have a vented dryer, then the exhaust hose also needs to be cleaned to avoid blockage and overheating. Sometimes even mold and bad odors can develop due to poor ventilation. You may notice a burnt smell if there’s lint accumulation from a blocked lint filter. If these steps are not taken, then it will waste electricity and decrease the machine’s efficiency and lifespan, while increasing the fire risk.

Let’s have a little chuckle together with our joke of the day entitled, “Saving Money the Expensive Way.”

Cal, a bargain-obsessed customer, marched into an auto parts store looking for a flat washer.

“That’ll be fifteen cents.”

“Fifteen cents?! For a washer? Are you out of your mind?”

“It’s heavy-duty steel.”

“Forget it. I’ll drill a hole in a quarter and make my own.”

“Great. Let me know if you need a drill bit for thirty-nine cents.”

?!

And now we have a heartline from Lucy in the United Kingdom, and a heartline in Dutch, with multiple-language subtitles, from Mees in the Netherlands
