Mozambique is a beautiful country situated on the eastern coast of Africa facing the Indian Ocean and is blessed with spectacular natural scenery, extensive biodiversity, and a lively culture imbedded into her heritage. This June, Mozambique’s parliament passed a new law to ban single-use plastic bags by 2024. In 2020, Mozambique approved the construction of three 40-megawatt solar power plants in the districts of Dondo, Manje, and Lichinga, expected to power an estimated 525,000 homes when completed. Did you know that many traditional Mozambique recipes are vegan? A vegan blogger discovered that 20 of the traditional Mozambique foods are actually vegan, including a seafood dish made from sea plants.

Myanmar is ethnically and linguistically diverse, and rich in history, culture and heritage. After 8 years of discussion, in 2020, Myanmar became one of 15 signatory countries in a regional free trade agreement within the Asia-Pacific area, where 30% of the world’s population lives and contributes to 30% of the worlds GDP. This March a new national park was announced, the Zinghmuh Mountain National Park in Chin State. The nearly 10,000-acre national park is home to a variety of orchids and endangered wildlife, including mountain goat-, leopard-, and pangolin-people. According to HappyCow.net, in Myanmar, there are 101 veg-friendly restaurants, 25 of which are vegetarian or vegan.

Namibia is one of the few countries in the world specifying nature conservation, and environment and biodiversity protection into its constitution. Namibia has become a global leader in ecotourism. Today, Namibia houses the largest free-roaming black rhino-people population in Africa and the world largest cheetah-people population. Namibia has committed to develop green hydrogen as one of its key strategies to achieve a national zero carbon emission goal. In November 2021, Namibia awarded a US$9.4 billion green hydrogen project to HYPHEN Hydrogen Energy, capable of producing 300,000 tons of the gas per year.
