Putting A Barrier To Desire

“And he was saying: When I want something, my wish moves. Desire brings possession taken by the hand. And possession creates compromises, and compromises tie up inside and outside. If the hand of life doesn’t give us what we wish for, we are unhappy. If it gives us what we wish for, we are happy, but we turn to wishing with more energy. Few are the wise who know how to stop and build a barrier to desire. They are the ones who are ‘above happiness and unhappiness.’ They are the ones who walk without walking, and who flow without obstacles. They are like a river, like the flowers, like the birds. Do they wish for something by any chance? And due to this, don’t they have already everything? Few, very few are those who ‘do without doing.’ They don’t need ‘anything’ because they have ‘Everything.’ In the One is the satisfaction of all needs.”

Forget About Yourself

“And Cuetlachtli came one day towards the group of people who was with Quetzalcóatl and said: Brothers, I come to you, because I wish to know a little more about the ‘what for’ of existence.

And He answered him: Open your eyes well, and life itself will take care of showing you that ‘what for.’

But Cuetlachtli insisted by saying: You know well that there are steps which must be taken. I know the Master dwells within us, but in order to call Him to the awakening, it is necessary to find another Master outside. I have come so that You may tell me what must I do.

And He said to him: I can only wake up within you, when you have forgotten about yourself.

And, what must I do in order to forget about myself? Said Cuetlachtli with sadness.

[Quetzalcóatl said to him]: To transcend your personality entirely, because it is what separates you from your brothers of the world. Defeat your mind, because in it you feel selfish. Overcome all fear and all doubt. Then you will see and feel that you are overflowing and enlarging like a wave over water, and that you expand and enlarge breaking up the molds of ignorance and the limited forms of your body.

And you must know that by doing all this, you are not coming to me, but to yourself. And by doing so, you are making Evolution in yourself, and are Love within the same Love.

Brother, may my humble stillness help you contemplate yourself in my waters and be able to know yourself. You know all that I have told you because your conscience is wise, even though sometimes it remains so asleep that it forgets the goals it fixed for itself.

And Cuetlachtli went away sad, because an inner conflict was born in him: his true Self was fighting against his personality.

In the stillness of profound meditation you will be able to observe, forgive, transform, know, love, forget, recognize, unify, and give yourself to yourself. Then, you will have become awake.”
