Unconditional love is the love of the Buddha, of Jesus, or of the highly developed monks and nuns. They just sacrifice themselves, or they do anything just for others’ sake. (Right.) Even do things that they don’t like, or hardship, work hard, or enduring difficult situations, it’s for other people. That’s unconditional love. But you cannot, mostly you cannot have unconditional love with a person that you’re involved with a person that you’re involved with physically, because you will want to keep that person for yourself alone. And even if you want to make him happy, it’s just because that makes you happy, because he is yours. You see what I mean? But the unconditional love is, you just love everybody. You do everything for everybody without that person even knowing you. Without that person even being yours or do anything back to you. That’s the love of the Buddha. It’s a different level.

You cannot have unconditional love, I’m sorry, if you’re married or if you have a boyfriend. This is not unconditional love. But it could breed unconditional love if the situation arises. For example, you have a boyfriend, or you’re married to your husband, yes? But he’s very ill, yes? And then maybe he needs a liver transplant. And then your liver is matching. And even though giving a part of your liver, it could be very dangerous to you, but you would gladly do it because you love him. And that’s also maybe unconditional love, or partly, or highly unconditional love, okay? That could also be unconditional love. But still, because he’s yours, see what I mean? So it has a little bit of condition in it. You want him alive for you. Or you cannot bear to see him die or suffer, yes? Because he’s yours. Because you’re deeply involved with him. You want him there, you want him in your life.

But the unconditional love is that you help, you do things without wanting that person around without wanting that person around or doing anything to you, or even know your name, or even know your face. Don’t even think about anything. Just help because he needs it. Whoever, wherever. You see what I mean? (Yes.) Yes, yes. Difficult to have unconditional love, if you’re together as, you know, like ownership. Okay? That is also tinted with attachment and possessiveness, and self-love also.

It’s nothing wrong. It’s not wrong to love your partner. It’s not wrong. It’s just, it’s not the great general love like we love the world. Or love the people in need, yeah? It’s different. But it’s different. Personal love is very deep and very satisfying also. If you love each other, you live for that. It’s very good also. I don’t mean bad or anything. But it’s difficult to be not attached if you have a partner love. You see what I mean? It’s also a part of God’s love. Part of. Any love is a part of God’s love. Even if you love your enemy or you love your boyfriend, it’s a part of God in him that you love, it’s a part of God in him that you love, attractive to you.

Just don’t forget always that he’s also part of God, and love him as thus, also. Not just a physical being. So it’s easier to forgive and love him more that way. Don’t forget he is also God. Even if he is not initiated or not vegetarian. Then you can love him more and easy to forgo his mistakes, overlook his mistakes.
