In this program, We will explore efficient wind turbines, inspired by the wings of the elegant Hummingbird, or the fins of the mighty yet streamlined humpback whale. Then on to water harvesting, using techniques influenced by spider webs, cacti and fungi. This water harvesting system mimics the way natural systems capture, store and distribute water, and won the research team the prestigious Ray of Hope Prize in the 2017 Biomimicry Global Design challenge along with the bonus.
