Âu Lạc (Vietnam), with civilizations spanning more than 4,000 years, is rich in beautiful, age-old traditional cultures. This charming land is home to 54ethnic groups who live together harmoniously. One of the most prominent ethnic communities in Âu Lạc, Chăm people also have other names such as Chàm or Champa and they mostly live in Bình Thuận, Ninh Thuận and An Giang Provinces. The Chăm’s ingenuity shows in their different architecture, because they build their houses according to the environment and climate of the region where they reside. The Chăm people are also well known for many traditional handicrafts, especially pottery and brocade weaving.
