“Bethink Yourselves!” by Leo Tolstoy was published in 1904. The call for awakening of those who started the war and also those involved in the war under the pretext of religion, race and patriotism. Chapter 7: Bereft of religion, men possessing enormous power over the forces of nature are like children to whom powder or explosive gas has been given as a plaything. For men there is only one way of being free – by uniting his will with the will of God.
