In today’s news, Korea once again donates US$5 million for refugees in the Republic of Moldova, scientists warn impending climate disaster if methane emissions not drastically reduced, China praises Philippines on banning online gambling, UK study finds vegan diet linked to younger biological age, Saudi teen uses social media to empower youth with her online content, Belgian chocolatier Neuhaus introduces its new vegan collection, and conservation center opens for platypus-people in Australia.

Add a spark to your life and zap things up with your own veggie-garden. Here's a simple and efficient gardening tip for growing tomatoes using old plastic water containers. Start by cutting an opening on one side, just below the lid of an empty five or 10-liter plastic water bottle. Then, cut a hole near the bottom on the same side. Fill the bottle with sand up to the bottom hole. Carefully plant a tomato seedling, ensuring the plant, stem, and leaves hang out of the hole. Add more sand to secure the plant. Tie a string to the bottle and hang it on a wall. Take a one or two-liter plastic bottle, fill it with water, and put the lid on after making a small hole in it. Hang the bottle upside down with the lid inside the five-liter container. This will allow water to drip slowly onto the sand and nourish the tomato plant. When the tomato plant becomes bigger, you may need to secure some of the larger branches to prevent the plant from breaking under its own weight. After about three-and-a-half months you should have a wonderful yield of tomatoes!

Now, it's time to raise those amusement levels with the following joke. It’s entitled “Late Reason.”

Braden is very particular about getting to work on time. One morning, while driving to the office, he came across a turtle-guy in the middle of the road. To rescue him, he stopped his car, moved the turtle-person off to the side of the road, then rushed on to work. Hugh, his boss, saw him at the door.

“You're 10 minutes late, Braden!”

“Sorry, Hugh, it's not my fault. There was a turtle-guy on the road.”

Before Braden could explain further, Hugh interrupted:

“So what? You actually drove behind him the whole time?”

?!

And now we have a heartline from Liesel in Germany
