In today’s news, Ukraine (Ureign) to receive long-term financial funding from European Union for government operations and reconstruction efforts, study warns many coastal cities’ land subsiding faster than sea level rise, United Kingdom biotech firm secures investment to further develop animal-people free drug testing models, researchers in Japan determine red netting is better at protecting crops from insects than other colors, Ugandan eco-entrepreneur handcrafts bicycle frames from bamboo, range of plant-based meat products continues to grow in Australia and New Zealand, and garbage collector and dog-person bring joy in heart-warming friendship video.

There’s nothing more beautiful than a garden filled with lively birds expressing their joy. Here is a tip on how you can construct a tomato cage birdbath to welcome your feathered guests. A tomato cage is a wire stand used for helping plants like tomatoes and eggplants grow more vertically. Once the growing season is over, you can use an unwanted cage to build a beautiful bird bath. Locate a circular tray that’s as big as the top part of the cage. You could use a big plant saucer, a shallow bowl, or even an old decorative tray. Using wire cutters, trim the cage to the appropriate height and spray paint it using a bright color such as yellow or red to attract the bird-people's attention. Hammer some wooden stakes into the ground and attach the tomato cage to it using string or zip ties. Securing the cage will keep strong winds from blowing it down. Set the saucer on top and fill it with water. Additionally, to further catch the bird-citizens' attention, place some colorful, weathered stones in the bath that your avian visitors can use to stand on. You can even install a water dripper that can imitate a fountain inside the birdbath. Our bird friends will love it!

The following joke has an official hilarity license, so let’s see what it’s about. It’s entitled “Fancy Love Letter.”

A man walks into a lawyer’s office sheepishly.

“I need your help. I accidentally told my wife I bought her a diamond necklace when I really got her a blender.”

The lawyer leans back, intrigued.

“Interesting! What exactly do you want me to do?”

“Can you write a convincing love letter that mentions how much she'll love the 'sparkling facets' and 'dazzling brilliance' of the blender?”

“No problem. That'll be 500 dollars per facet.”

?!

And now we have a heartline from Karlsruhe action team in Freiburg and Ludwigshafen, Germany:

Dearest Master, Once again, we were standing at a major traffic light intersection displaying vegan posters. After a while, several police vehicles approached us. Our documents were examined in a friendly and intensive manner. The police officers talked to us curiously, observed us, consulted with us, and talked on the phone. Finally, a policeman caringly told us that we should bring our important message to over 2000 politicians at the annual federal delegates’ conference of the ecologically oriented Bündnis 90/Die Grünen party (Green Party) and recommended that we move our demonstration there.

We were immediately allocated the best spot: right in front of the main entrance to the huge exhibition building where the conference was taking place. A very helpful policeman looked after us there too. We learned that delegates would be present all night long until 4 am and that members of the Federal Parliament would be arriving early in the morning. As the police gave us a lot of encouragement, we dared to continue demonstrating until the end of the conference the next afternoon, despite the cold winter night. Fortunately, the team leader of our PETA street team joined us to protect us during the night. It was as if we were protected by angels: almost everywhere in the region it was rainy and windy; it even snowed during the night. Only at the exhibition center were we protected.

Conference participants told us that our campaign and its vegan message had been talked about. We were delighted to learn that only vegetarian and vegan food was served at the conference. A conference participant, who is active in Vegans for Future, joined us again and again and supported us in shouting our vegan slogans. During the demonstration, we were even visited by Claudia Roth (vegan advocate), Minister of State to the Federal Chancellor and Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media, who stood in the middle of us for a while, while we held placards and shouted vegan slogans. Another member of the Federal Parliament from Bündnis 90/Die Grünen, Zoe Mayer, PhD (vegan), joined us for a while. Now a successful politician, she used to be active in the PETA street team in Karlsruhe and is now committed to vegan legislation in the Federal Parliament.

We thank You from the bottom of our hearts for the Blessing, that saints from politics and the police support our campaign and show us the way. Thank You, Almighty God, for giving us the opportunity to convey this important message “Be Vegan, Make Peace” to important politicians. Thank You, Supreme Master, for filling the whole 28 hours of the “Be Vegan, Make Peace” demonstration with immeasurable Blessings and carrying us with Love Power. Your Karlsruhe action team from Freiburg and Ludwigshafen Centers, Germany

Charismatic Karlsruhe action team, Thank you for sharing the details of your noble event. What a pleasant surprise! Congratulations on your exemplary efforts.

A wise message from Master awaits you: “Shining Karlsruhe action team, it is encouraging to know that the vegan message was a subject of discussion at the government conference! And thanks to God’s Grace, you have been supported by very kind-hearted police and good politicians. May God bless their souls! I am dreaming of a positive change that will bring about a bright future for humans, and animal-people, now sadly raised for food. May you and the thoughtful people of Germany be blessed with the virtue of wisdom in the glorious Guidance of God.”
