In today’s news, Japan helps Vanuatu in conducting disaster response, study shows Sargasso Sea near Bermuda warmer and more acidic than 40 years ago, European Union welcomes peace plan between Armenia and Azerbaijan, British government funds technology allowing electric cars to be used as energy storage systems, children in Rwanda given essential support and taught music and dance for a brighter future, two South Indian startups make strides in India’s plant-based food industry through acquisition, and international scientists find reindeer-people use a special kind of night vision to find food.

When seasons change, there is a lot to consider, especially your plumbing. I have a tip for those of you in sub-zero temperature areas. If your water pipes at home become frozen, there are safe ways to get them working again. Most importantly, as you begin the thawing process, ensure the faucet is open so water can drain. If you have exposed pipes, you can wrap a heating pad or hot towel around them. Another choice is to put a space heater in front of a frozen pipe or use a hair dryer to blast it with hot air. Do not use open flame devices like a blowtorch, a gas heater, or charcoal stove to avoid the risk of fire or damaging the pipes. If you have central heating in your home, you may need to open the cupboard doors where the pipes run to assist the heat to reach them. Running the taps regularly can help prevent freezing too, so consider an evening and morning flushing of pipes to help keep them unfrozen.

Let’s proceed with caution as there might be some hilarity ahead with the joke of the day. It’s called “Point Taken.”

A husband and wife decide to go to an archery class for the first time.

“I will bet you a week’s worth of chores that I can hit the target more times than you.”

“Sure, you’re on!”

After the session was over, the husband said to his wife.

“Well, I did hit the target more times than you, darling.”

“You sure did, only they weren’t your target!”

?!

And now we have a heartline from Yun-Chin in Taiwan, also known as Formosa: Thanks and gratitude to most Beloved and Great Master, and the Supreme Master TV team, On November 1, 2023, World Vegan Day, I was very honored to have participated in the vegan parade organized by fellow initiates at the Daan Forest Park, Taipei! This is the only parade in Taiwan (Formosa) that had no political connections, no other purpose except simply advocating the vegan lifestyle!

As members of the Supreme Master Ching Hai International Association, we chose to stand out bravely on that day. The fellow initiates who initiated this event completed all the requirements in the parade applications in just three working days. We worked together with one heart to achieve it in Taiwan (Formosa), abundantly blessed by Master’s Grace and Love. In this land we love, we spoke out loudly Master’s teachings and slogans! It was truly heart-stirring… All we wish is that Master’s Love and Blessings for all beings could bloom everywhere.

Since it was not a holiday, thanks to the support of the Keelung Center, nearly 50 marchers came that day. There were also non-initiates and dog-people. Because there has never been such a parade before, we caught the attention of everyone. Students joined us in shouting slogans, passersby gave us thumbs-up, and the police officers were very supportive, even inviting us to hold our slogans and join them in a picture.

Thanks to God and Master’s Grace, the parade was completed successfully! We firmly follow Master’s footsteps and look in the same direction with Master. We will be more diligent in our spiritual practice, be humbler, and strictly adhere to the precepts to become good disciples of Master! May Master accomplish Her wishes, be healthy, safe, and have everything go well. Respectfully with joined palms, Yun-Chin from Taiwan (Formosa)

Intelligent Yun-Chin, Well done on helping to coordinate the event. Thank you for letting us know it was so successful. We are quite certain that many were blessed with Master’s invincible Love that was reverberating in the atmosphere. May you and the humble Taiwanese (Formosan) people continue to experience joy in Buddha’s emanating Light, Supreme Master TV team

P.S. Master sends Her Love: “Caring Yun-Chin, thanks to you and your sincere brothers and sisters for doing what you can for the world. The sooner people become more aware of and step into the vegan way of life, the sooner our beautiful animal pals will be free from the suffering inflicted upon them. Keep up the high spirits and deep faith in the Divine. May you and the peaceful land of Taiwan (Formosa) be a shining example of leading with compassion. Love you, brave girl!”
