In today’s news, government of China supports Nepal with more than US$2 million in earthquake assistance, study in Switzerland shows approximately one million tons of toxic chemicals from plastic contaminate Earth’s oceans each year, researchers in Ireland discover that gratitude can protect against heart attacks, Tuvaluans displaced by climate crisis find refuge in Australia, computer science student in United States works to improve positive impact of social media, supermarkets in United Kingdom now sell alcohol-free vegan brandy-flavored cream, and African tortoise-person in United States reunites with her caregiver after more than three years away from home.

Need some help to feel better about life? Here is a tip for you. Animal-people are loving beings who can support and comfort us in our daily lives and during times of need. They have the special gift of healing. Trained animal-folk, especially dog- and horse-people, are seen in many therapeutic settings, assisting in the recovery of humans and boosting their emotional well-being. Research has shown that just petting a dog- or cat-person can bring about a surge of oxytocin, a so-called “love hormone” that can enhance our feelings of trust and happiness. Spending time with animal-residents can also result in decreased cortisol levels, thereby reducing stress. Furthermore, our animal friends, and particularly canine-folks, can make us more physically active, thus lowering our risk of heart disease while elevating our mood.

Our amusement experts have composed the following joke, and it will go on air any minute now. It’s called, “Mom's Little Assistant.”

A teacher noticed that one of the kids in her class was wearing a fitness tracker and walking up and down the schoolyard. She approached her student and asked:

“Oh, are you counting your steps?”

“Not really. I just wear this for Mommy so she can impress Daddy when he gets home.”

?!

And now we have a heartline from Cát Tường in Âu Lạc, also known as Vietnam:

DEAR LOVING AND COMPASSIONATE MASTER, First of all, I would like to express my deepest gratitude for all the efforts which You have been making for all beings in the Universe, especially the Earthlings. So fortunate it is for someone who can get a human body and meet Ultimate Master Tim Qo Tu. Dear Respectful Master, I am grateful to have been Your disciple for nearly 30 years. The thing which makes me the happiest is that every day, I always feel Your presence in my life. You always take care of me thoroughly, even with very trivial things. Because of that, I am always living in peace, happiness, and elevation... I had a lot of inner visions regarding the inner Heavenly Light and Sound. I always feel content and grateful!

As Christmas is approaching, I feel melancholy when looking at the picture of Beloved Jesus on the Cross. Therefore, I composed this poem to show my gratefulness to Him. In closing, I wish for Master to be always healthy and safe, and that all of Your missions be fulfilled very soon, in the protection of all the respectful Heavens.

GRATEFUL TO YOU ON CHRISTMAS DAY

More than 2,000 years... gone already

Even time has passed, but not the memory

Of the Cross, which reminds painfully Christmas is here, when raindrops fall from the sky

Two thousand years ago is an old story...old times

But the pain has not subsided

He saved humans with His body sacrificed

So that all beings have a peaceful life!

But humanity takes for granted His Love

So His painful wounds could not heal

He sacrificed without hesitation

So the Earth was cleansed of some condemnation.

He is the embodiment of Love

He is taking us on the Home Path.

Today, sitting inside a quiet cathedral

O my Lord!

Your Name I silently called

I knew that You are omnipresent

You are inside us and never leave

Christmas of 2,000 years ago

Has become the legend of this worldly realm

You came down here and endured all trials

For the sake of all beings,

You are willing to sacrifice Your Great-being

To grant us thousands of opportunities

To share love, to change ourselves, and to live

Today, in all corners of this planet Celebrate Christmas, the day of Your coming here Oh...

Your Love is so vast like the ocean and sky

Grateful to You, my tears are falling!

Disciple Cát Tường from Âu Lạc (Vietnam)

Appreciative Cát Tường, Thank you for your heartline and beautiful poem!

Master has a tenderhearted message for you: “Inspired Cát Tường, thank you for your kind words, my love. I am grateful that you are so receptive to the Heavenly Blessings. It is hard to believe that so many people in this world will not accept an enlightened Master’s unconditional assistance and would rather wallow in misery and ignorance. Lord Jesus Christ could have saved all of humanity if they only listened, and so could any true Master, yet here we are 2,000 years later, and the planet is still in a state of chaos and anguish. I am touched by the sincerity of your poem. I, too, have cried many tears over the life of Lord Jesus and Holy Saints and Sages who have suffered so much trying to help the world. May this be the time when humans finally awaken and the world truly changes into a vegan paradise, where all seek and find the Divine within. May you and the loyal Aulacese (Vietnamese) people take refuge in the Buddhas’ great mercy.”
