The March to Stop the Animal Industry in Brussels, Belgium, was held by the non-profit animal-people rights organization Bite Back Belgium, on Sunday, June 18th, 2023. The 3-kilometer march passed through iconic Brussels locations, including a 15-minute stop at Muntplein or Place de la Monnaie, a major square in central Brussels that is home to the National Opera of Belgium, and looped back to end at Brussels Central Station.

The demonstration began with a rally and a speech by Jo Dirix. “We need to engage in protests, pressure campaigns; we need to target the government and companies. We need to convince individuals to stand up for animals, like we do, and then ask them to go vegan.”

Leading the charge was a large banner that read, “STOP THE ANIMAL INDUSTRY” and passionate activists with loud voices. Chanting boomed through the streets in French, Dutch, and English. “What we want: rights for and the liberation of animals, is not a radical idea. It reflects what we want as a society: compassion and moral progress.” Some of the signs included: “All animal products involve suffering and death. ALL OF THEM.” The demonstration looked like a sea of red and black as they traversed the streets, wearing the Bite Back organization shirts.

Supreme Master Ching Hai (vegan) has often stated the immediate need to ban all animal-person exploitation industries. It is the only path to everlasting peace and happiness on Earth. “Please stop all the hunting of the poor animal-people. […] They know God more than we do. […] All living things want to stay alive until God calls them Home. So please, please Be Vegan, Make Peace. […] If we don’t live according to God’s Commandments and Will, then nothing will last, including this whole planet. I just hope that you really realize that saving the animal-people from death and agonizing torture daily is to save your soul and your relatives, your friends -- all your loved ones.”
