In His offering of discourses to earnest seekers, we see that Quetzalcóatl highlights the importance of the inward journey. Transcending both time and space, this journey connects us with the inner Heavenly Light and Music. Today, we would like to present selections from ‘Así Hablaba Quetzalcóatl (Thus Spoke Quetzalcóatl),’ where the Venerated Master teaches us to view life transcendently in order to know our true path, and take care of our children, to let them stay innocent and pure as long as they can. THE WINGS OF IMAGINATION “During many Eons the Spirit is preparing for its awakening, and is becoming conscious of its own Eternity. Matter is nothing but the mirror where it goes on seeing its white wings become drawn in profile. Learn to move the wings of your imagination, and in this way, you will not be linked to what is transitory anymore, and the wrongdoing of ignorance will be unable to do anything against you. Be it always known to you that the only thing which leads you to grow fond of this Earth and other worlds is nothing but ignorance. It is that which creates pain, envy, laziness, gluttony, and all that which makes man become animalized. Rejoice then, brothers, because those who throw you out of your house are not but throwing themselves out, and those who will do you harm are not but harming themselves. Indeed, I tell you that they will have to pick up to the last grain of hate they planted, when their time for harvest comes. Don’t you forget these things, as harvest time is near. Fortify your hearts.” THE BEST MUSIC ON THIS EARTH “He approached a choir of children who were playing and said to those following Him: Look, tune your hearing and be merry, because this merrymaking of children at play is the best music Earth could offer. To Heaven’s ears it sounds more beautiful than the notes of calandra larks, and the glad chanting of goldfinches. It is the song of innocence, and if you take a close look, you will notice they live in another plane, where trees still speak, little birds talk to them, and even butterflies, streets and street walls, talk to them.” “Know it is as delicate as the petals of a flower, and know that a simple word could kill it. Keep vigil then, over children, feel for them, take care of them, because woe betide the garden which does not take care of its new sprouts! Woe betide the tree that does not take care of its future seeds! Let us take care of their innocence, Let us respect their infancy. They are the hope to prolong equilibrium in future generations. They... are more perfect than us. They still are in the pure state of communion with God.”
