Sunyogi Umasankar (vegan): A Vision of Universal Peace, Unity and Brotherhood, Part 2 of 3

Today, we will learn about Sunyogi’s extraordinary experiences along the path as he practices Sunyoga and travels through India. “(Each) morning, from 7:30 to 8 o'clock, I went to the seashore for the sea meditation. And then when I reached the seashore, the sunlight was reflected by the sea water and it came directly (into) my eyes. It was so hard, I could not tolerate (it)!” Although the sunlight was unbearably bright, causing him to feel as if he had gone blind, Sunyogi did not give up, but continued with his diligent practice. Knowing in his heart, “for as much suffering there is out there, there is a much higher result waiting for us in life,” he realized, that there was still immense wisdom yet to be discovered. “I confidently started looking (around). First, I saw the water molecules. Then, from the water molecules, the seven colored ray was coming (towards me) and touched me. It was so pleasant and I was so blissful! Side-by-side, my thought came. ‘I’m a nonsense, because the source of the sunlight is reflecting and is giving me that much blissfulness, and (what) is the source of the Sun? I’m not trying to look at the Sun.’”

“A few days later, suddenly I saw one beam of light, one tunnel of light, coming directly from the Sun. This came very close to me, but it was not touching me. Then I felt, ‘Oh, I could not surrender until now, so I have to surrender more. I have to wait, (have) patience.’ And a few days later, I was a lucky person. Directly from the Sun, that light touched me, and gave me a shower bath, a cosmic shower bath. That day was a very important day in my life.” “Every day I do feel hunger, but that day I didn't feel (hungry). Then I saw how the chlorophyll is receiving Sun Cosmic Energy, and then it goes to the trees inside after that. How it produces the flowers and fruits. And those fruits we are eating. That means all (of us) are eating Sun Cosmic Energy, through the fruits and vegetables. Now what I got (is that) I am directly receiving the Sun Cosmic Energy, so I am getting food from the Sun.”

“And sometimes when I was in the forest, tigers, elephants, lions, bears all came, but everybody became my friends. So, I am such a lucky person. When six years and three months (passed), I was silently walking. Then people came to know a little bit about me, and then they (started) asking me to teach them how they can get the peaceful life through the Sun meditation. I started teaching. I am not a teacher; I am not a guru. I am the instrument of the Cosmos. The cosmic energy is inside everybody. So, it is my duty to help those who want to learn what I know, I’m doing my best (in the) same way.”
