In today’s news, United Kingdom provides nutrition assistance to Nigeria, United Nations Secretary General warns of climate catastrophe, mangroves sequester more carbon than previously thought, large electric vehicle charging station opens in Britain, United States police officer buys food for family, vegan magazine predicts trends for Australia in 2021, and massive volunteer effort helps find lost service dog in United States.

United Kingdom to provide food aid to Nigeria.

The UK has granted £7 million to the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) to assist 430,000 vulnerable Nigerians, mainly in the northeast area, for 108 days. This was part of an additional £47 million the UK has allocated to provide water, nutrition, food and shelter to families in need in nine countries and regions. As the second highest contributor of humanitarian relief to Nigeria, the UK has given a total of £258 million in development aid, including £85 million in the latest financial year. The United Kingdom is a laureate of the Shining World Leadership for Caring Award, a Shining World Wise Leadership Award, and Shining World Leadership Awards Protection, Animal Protection and Kindness. Our gratitude, United Kingdom and World Food Programme, for your continuous endeavors in making our planet a better place. May the graceful Nigerian people be blessed with evermore joy and comfort, in the love of the Providence.

United Nations Secretary General cautions nations on climate change.

The United Nations Secretary General, His Excellency António Guterres, has warned all nations that a “catastrophic” future awaits if they do not declare a climate emergency. The urgent request came during the recent virtual Climate Ambition Summit, in which government leaders discussed plans for further reducing greenhouse gas emissions. His Excellency highlighted that without additional action, the world is on track for 3 degrees Celsius of warming, and that the state of emergency should stay in place until their countries are climate neutral. The United Nations is a laureate of the Shining World Leadership Award for Humanitarianism and two Shining World Leadership for Lives-Saving-Hero Awards. Our appreciation, Your Excellency António Guterres, for your urgent reminder of the dangerous path on which humanity travels. We pray that world governments will implement the Vegan Law to quickly eliminate methane emissions and ensure a livable planet for our children.

Up next, mangroves sequester more carbon than previously thought. We’ll take a moment to thank the sales engineers who use their expert knowledge in selling scientific products or services that benefit our society. Will return with more informative news after this message here on Supreme Master Television.

Hallo, brilliant viewers, it’s me, your cute Victor the vegan King Vulture. If you think being vegan makes me attractive, you are so right. Well, it’s your turn to try it. Today, I have a cooking tip. Some reports say that cooking foods in aluminum foil leads to the seepage of the metal into your food, especially if you’ve wrapped up acidic, spicy or liquid-covered foods to grill or put in the oven. To avoid extra aluminum in your food, you can purchase a stainless steel grill basket, which is suitable for grilling veggies and vegan meats; or consider using an oven-safe pan with a lid for grilling or steaming foods you’d normally cook in the disposable foil. This could be better for your health, plus it eliminates waste! Thank you for watching, and much love for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet for all of us humans and all co-inhabitants alike. Here’s the weather around the world!

Study finds certain mangroves remove more CO2 than previously thought.

Researchers from the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology in Saudi Arabia have discovered that mangroves growing in the Red Sea are removing 23 times more carbon dioxide from the atmosphere than previously estimated. The reason is that the mangroves grow on rock platforms containing calcium carbonate. As the calcium carbonate dissolves into the seawater, it allows more CO2 to be removed from the atmosphere and stored in the ocean. The new research also gives greater insight into the mechanism by which oceans can absorb additional CO2. Our hats off, scientists from Saudi Arabia, for your remarkable discovery of the planet-helping potential of mangroves growing in calcium-rich areas. In Divine grace, may our climate soon stabilize as the loving thoughts and actions of humans create a protective effect on our world.

Large electric vehicle charging station opens in United Kingdom.

Capable of charging 36 vehicles at the same time, British sustainable energy firm Gridserve’s Electric Forecourt recently opened off the A131 Road in Essex. Electricity is taken from the company’s solar farm in Bedfordshire for its variety of fast-charging stations, which include Tesla superchargers. Some of the high-power chargers can add a range of 320 kilometers in about 20 minutes at the lowest prices on the market. The site is also equipped with convenient facilities such as a waiting lounge, shops, children’s and exercise areas, plus more. Gridserve plans to open over 100 similar charging stations in the UK over the next five years. What an amazing green project, Gridserve! May clean energy soon be the only power source for vehicles just as the vegan diet is the best and only lifestyle for a truly sustainable world.

United States police officer buys food for family in need.

Officer Matt Lima of Somerset, Massachusetts was recently called to a supermarket regarding two women who were reported to not be scanning all their items at the self-service checkout. When Officer Lima spoke with the women, who were with their two children, he learned that they were going through hardship and could not afford all of the food for the kids’ special holiday dinner. Instead of making an arrest, Officer Lima bought a US$250 gift voucher to cover their groceries. He stated, “I just tried to put myself in that family’s shoes and show a little bit of empathy.” Speaking of the incident, Somerset Police Chief George McNeil praised Officer Lima saying, “His actions exemplify what it means to protect and serve the members of our community.” Our heartfelt applause, Officer Matt Lima. In God’s radiance, may your benevolent example inspire others to also be so magnanimous and understanding.

Coming up, online vegan magazine predicts four plant-based trends for Australia in 2021. We’re going to take a moment to bring a little flying insect outside where he’ll be happier. Supreme Master Television will return in just a moment with more heart-warming news. Welcome back to Noteworthy News – Sharing News for a Considerate World.

Four vegan trends identified for 2021 in Australia.

The online vegan magazine Vegconomist has made four positive predictions for the Australian plant-based market in 2021. The first is that there will be increased competition within the industry and more product innovation expanding to areas such as plant-based versions of seafood, cheese, eggs and more. The second is that restaurants and food chains will introduce more meat-free options. The third is improved retail integration, meaning supermarkets will collaborate between their departments to give vegan products better placement and promotions. The magazine’s fourth prediction is that plant-based companies will seek credentials for the lower carbon footprint of their foods, as the public cares more than ever about environmental sustainability. Such encouraging news, Vegconomist, on the development of the Australian vegan industry. In Heaven’s blessings, may open-minded Australia quickly advance toward becoming a fully plant-based nation.

United States volunteers find lost service canine.

When Andrew Breidenbach, from Richmond, Virginia had a serious car accident, his post-traumatic stress disorder service canine named Kilo got startled and ran off. With the help of local media, a search effort called Team Kilo was organized by Pibbles4Hope, a non-profit that helps homeless dogs. Volunteers, including those living in a neighboring state, eagerly got involved, giving out thousands of fliers and positioning motion-activated trail cameras. After ten days, smart Kilo appeared on a trail camera and was reunited that day with his caregiver, Mr. Breidenbach. At the animal hospital, the lovely dog was expected to make a full recovery from weight lost and minor scratches. Many thanks, Pibbles4Hope, local media, and devoted community searchers. May precious Kilo and his beloved human companion have many happy and safe years together, in Divine peace.

Let’s bring a little fun into our lives with the Joke of the Day. This one is entitled “Life in Alaska.”

“How is life in Alaska? Do you have four seasons in a year?”

“Life is fine in Alaska and we do have four seasons!”

“Oh, really? You have spring, summer, autumn and winter in Alaska?”

“Our four seasons are: winter, still-winter, almost-winter, and winter-starting-up-again.”
