In today’s news, Qatar donates food aid to displaced persons in Syria, Nigeria receives additional funding for pandemic response, Australia earmarks funds for developing cost-effective hydrogen, researchers recommend vitamin D to boost immunity, restaurant owner feeds people free vegan meals, plant-based menu item sells out in Shanghai, and therapy alpacas visit quarantined residents at senior center.

Some say I am graceful, agile and fast. My capabilities are due to my plant-based diet. Be vegan, like me. I’m going to tell you a secret! Pruning a plant’s branches or stems is kind of like performing surgery. Do you think operations are painful? Well, so do plants. You can help them endure the experience by talking to them first. Explain what you’re going to do and why. This will allow them to withdraw their life force from the spot and minimize their pain. Then, make sure your cutting tool is sharp and clean. The cut you make is like an open wound that can get infected. To protect the plant from bacteria, fungi and insects, light a vegan candle and drip some wax onto the cut. This will also prevent moisture evaporation and aid in your patient’s recovery!

Vitamin D linked with stronger immune systems.

Since the outbreak of COVID-19, researchers in several countries have found that critical cases are more likely in people with low levels of “the sunshine vitamin.” Although our skin produces vitamin D in response to sunlight, most of us do not spend enough time outdoors and need to get the nutrient from supplements. Doctors generally recommend 600 international units (IUs) daily for adults, while those over 70 are prescribed 800 IUs. Some patients may benefit from even higher doses, based on blood tests and professional advice. Consumers should be aware that not all vitamin D is the same, and are advised to read labels carefully. While vitamin D2 is always suitable for vegans, vitamin D3 sometimes comes from an animal source. Many thanks, medical researchers, for your important discovery! May all of God’s children on Earth be blessed with health and longevity.

Here’s a joke from our selection to lighten our minds. It’s entitled, “Good Manners.

A curious second-grade student was trying to listen in on a private conversation that two of his teachers were having. One of them decided it was time for an important lesson in manners, so she said politely:

“Timmy, do you know what ‘mind your own business’ means?”

“No.”

Suddenly, another student on the other side of the room shouted:

“I do!”

And now we have a heartline from Liu-Tong in China:

Dear Supreme Master TV team, Recently I watched “The Story of Ni Đê,” an episode of “Between Master and Disciples” on Supreme Master TV. Master mentioned a Chinese sister who was very humble and meditated for 10-12 hours every day, who knows who Master is. I was deeply touched. Master announced that She would bring beings of this world to Tim Qo Tu’s New Spiritual Realm. I’m overjoyed, and more deeply understand that to really love our Master, we have to keep our body, speech and mind pure through diligent meditation, particularly more on the inner Heavenly Sound. Only doing spiritually related work with wisdom and sincerity can we truly help the world.

Liu-Tong from China

Dear Liu-Tong, Thank you for sharing your insights on the wisdom you have gained from the “Between Master and Disciples” episode, “The Story of Ni Đê.” After speaking of the sister you mention, Master said, “The more you meditate, the more humble you become. You realize who you are and who your Master is and how the teaching helps you, then you’ll be more humble, humble, very humble!” Yes, sincere and diligent meditation is the key! We are blessed to be able to air Master’s lectures so that more beings may benefit from Her Divine presence on our planet as well as Her Love and Wisdom. Buddha’s Light to you and considerate China, Supreme Master TV team

P.S. Master said: “Perceptive Liu-Tong, good for you that you recognize the essence of true spiritual practice. Please continue this way for your soul’s progress. May you and optimistic China thrive in the grace of the Buddhas.”

We welcome your heartlines, stories and or cute, loving animal clips.
