According to the National Center for Science Education, they think Earth is about 4.54 billion years old! Earth went through a lot, even some scary stuff like mass extinctions. We humans? We're like the newest guests at Mother Earth's party, only showing up around 300,000 years ago. And Earth might’ve had two moons once! Even though we humans have only explored about 42% of Mother Earth’s land and water, we’ve found many incredible places and things, from stunning landscapes to our fascinating animal friends. Thus, our planet is full of wonders to talk about.

About 70% of all the fresh water on our planet is locked up in its icy caps, and a whopping 90% of the world’s ice is in Antarctica. Even thoughit’s really dry, the Atacama Desert is a spectacularsight to see, with its salt flats, and geysers. Unlike the Atacama Desert, Mawsynram gets drenched with more than 10,000 millimeters of rain every year, making it the wettest place on Earth. Millions of years ago, Greenland wasn’t a snowy paradise— it was actually green! And, while Mount Everest and Mauna Kea might be the world’s tallest mountains, there’s no arguing that the Mariana Trench is the deepest spot on Earth! The United States is home to the General Sherman giant sequoia tree, the world’s biggest tree! Among the world’s many reefs, the Great Barrier Reef is an awesome creation of nature.

Our planet is like a precious gem, but it’s in danger. Our Most Beloved Supreme Master Ching Hai (vegan), has taught us the best way to solve all the world’s environmental problems. “We have to reduce 80% of the pollution from the gas and everything else. And stop eating the animal-people. That is the only way to stop immediately the 80% gas pollution. The Earth has a mechanism to repair herself. It’s just that we overload the planet. We pollute too much, and we create too much of murderous karma. As soon as we erase this bad retribution from the killing effect, then the Earth will turn around, will be allowed to repair, reproduce, and sustain life again.”
