The Republic of Kosovo is a Southeastern European country situated in the center of the Balkan Peninsula. Kosovo is a laureate of the Shining World Leadership Award for Peace. On September 4, 2020,Kosovo’s former Prime Minister,His Excellency Avdullah Hoti, Serbia’s President, His Excellency Aleksandar Vučić, and the 45th US President, His Excellency Donald Trump, signed an agreement to normalize relations between Serbia and Kosovo. The Middle Eastern country of Kuwait is the laureate of a Shining World Leadership Award for her generous aid to Palestinian refugees in Lebanon in 2007. Kyrgyzstan, also known as the Kyrgyz Republic, is a laureate of the Shining World Leadership Award for Wise and Good Governance and the Shining World Leadership Award for Earth Preservation. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the wise government of Kyrgyzstan acted promptly to provide remote learning. Thus, the education interruption caused by school closures was largely minimized. With the Kyrgyz government’s awareness of its magnificent mountain glaciers being reduced by climate change, efforts are being made to move entirely away from coal-based fuel. Thus, in addition to solar energy, the Kyrgyz government is launching several hydropower projects as well. In addition, trees in the capital city Bishkek are being issued passports. The unique identifiers are intended to maximize the preservation of these life-giving beings as well as encourage more planting.
