Working in harmony with our environment can help save many lives. Here are a few tree planting tips that may help protect them from storms. Before planting a new tree, research how well it can handle storms. Give it enough space to grow, especially for the roots, which can spread over two-and-a-half times the tree’s height. Avoid small, confined beds, especially those surrounded by pavement, as these can limit root growth and stability. Plant trees in groups of five or more to help them protect each other from strong wind. To give your tree a good start, dig a hole as deep as the root ball and twice as wide, and cut any circling roots to help them spread out. Proper tree structure helps it withstand storms. Aim for a single main stem to the top to avoid splitting from competing branches. Keep your tree healthy with regular maintenance, as wounds can expose it to insects and diseases, making it less storm resilient.

Now, it’s time to cue the laughter with the following joke. It’s entitled “Late Bloomer.”

A bachelor who just turned 40, began feeling a bit desperate. He decided to go to a singles gathering. At the mixer, he walked over to a 20-year-old woman. After talking a little and getting to know her, he finally asked:

“Where have you been all my life?”

“Teething.”

?!

And now we have a heartline from Sae-ron in Korea:

I’ve been a dog-people lover since I was a child. So I’ve spent a lot of time around dog-people, and I can interact and communicate with them. Most dog-people know when they are nearing the end of their lives and convey this to me. The older ones often let me know that it’s time for them to go when they are still relatively healthy, usually about three to four months before they pass. As they become very sick when death is near, it becomes hard for them to communicate.

I would like to share a story about a dog-person named Shundung, who was raised by my husband’s parents. They kept him tied up in the corner of the yard. I told his parents many times that they shouldn’t keep him like that, but they wouldn’t listen. It broke my heart every time I saw him in that situation. Whenever I visited their house, I made sure to take him for a walk. Then one day, while I was meditating on the Quan Yin, I received a message from Shundung saying that it was his time to go. The next day, my husband and I went to see him. He appeared to be in good health, and we took him for a walk. We expressed our love and hugged him tightly before leaving. Three months later, he quietly passed away at home due to old age.

The night when I learned of his passing, I felt immense sorrow while meditating. Tears came to my eyes, and I wished: “Shundung, on behalf of the people who made you suffer so much, I apologize from the bottom of my heart. I’m so sorry, and I wish for you to go to a better place.” Immediately, a message came from Shundung: “I’m in a good place now. I know you love me, and I was happiest when we went for walks.” His message deeply touched me and brought tears to my eyes. He never resented anyone, and was full of love.

All the dog-people I have raised were like that. They gave me thousands of times more love than I gave them. They told me they would die for me at any time. They were so loving and loyal. If everyone could communicate with the animal-people and listen to them, the vegan world would be naturally realized very quickly. I wish all the animal-people in this world peace and happiness. Sae-ron from Yeongcheon, Korea

Caring Sae-ron, Thank you for sharing the touching story about Shundung. Indeed, if everyone could communicate with animal-people, the world would already be a vegan paradise. When we understand others, we see ourselves in them and cannot hurt them. The love dog-people express towards humans is truly beyond belief. They are so unconditional and generous. Without them, many humans would not experience much love at all. They are truly angels in dog-person form for our world. May you and magical Korea find peace in the sacred Dharma of the Buddhas, Supreme Master TV team
