British newspaper, The Guardian, recently evaluated the plant-based seafood alternatives sector and described it as “hot.” The outlet cited the recent documentary, “Seaspiracy,” as the primary driving force raising public awareness of the environmental impact of the fishing industry. Since consumer demand for vegan seafood has surged, many food companies have responded. For instance, the world’s biggest food conglomerate, Nestlé, has recently launched Vrimp – a vegan shrimp made from seaweed and peas. Business forecasters expect the United Kingdom to lead the faux seafood market worldwide, with nearly half of its citizens reducing consumption of animal-based products.

Way to go, the ladies and gentlemen of the United Kingdom, on your wise choice to adopt plant-based seafood alternatives. Our appreciation, The Guardian, for the informative report. In Divine goodness, may every animal-person in the ocean be free from threat as we choose cruelty-free vegan seafood.
