In today’s news, United States pledges funds to United Nations under new humanitarian aid agreement. Jordanian olive harvests succumbing to record heat, South Korean researchers pioneer safer battery technology for electric vehicles, France implements ban on forever chemicals, villagers in Âu Lạc, also known as Vietnam, save people in canal on rainy night, Australian vegan milk brand growing rapidly, and dog-citizens in Florida, USA, rescued from overcrowded trailer.

Take a wise approach when traveling during extreme weather. I’ll help you know what to look out for in today’s safety tip. If you’re driving in adverse conditions such as a low-visibility dust storm or smoky environment, try to avoid driving into or through it if possible. If you can’t avoid it, make sure your headlights are turned on. Otherwise, find a safe location to pull off the road as soon as you can and keep a safe distance away from the main road and other vehicles. Don’t wait to pull over if there’s already poor visibility. While you are parked, be sure to turn off all vehicle lights, including your emergency blinkers. Stay in your vehicle while you wait for the storm to pass and remain buckled with windows up.

Please take it easy and laugh with us at the joke of the day. It’s called, “The Most Average Suitcase on Earth.”

Derek, who was already exhausted from traveling, suddenly discovered his luggage never made it home. He bee-lined to the airline’s customer-service counter in a full huff.

“I’m sorry about that, sir. Can you describe your suitcase?”

“It’s a navy-blue duffel bag — 60 centimeters long, 45 centimeters wide, 50 centimeters high. Red piping along the edges, three large stars on one side, and the words ‘Go Vegan’ printed in giant letters on the other.”

“OK… and is there anything distinctive about your bag?”

?!

And now we have a heartline from Ezra in Canada
